ELIZABETH WHITMORE is associate professor at the School of Social Work at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. She discovered participatory research and evaluation while a graduate student at Cornell University and has since conducted a number of participatory evaluations. She has written numerous articles on this topic and continues to work actively in the field.
